Aidan is the Principal Engineer/Director and owner of Specialist Testing And Technical Services (STATS). As well as being a certified Chartered Engineer, Aidan has more than 25 years of international project experience in Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, India and China.
Aidan has a long track record in undertaking Geotechnical, Structural and Materials Investigation, Pavement, Asset Management and Laboratory Testing work projects. He is instrumental in bridging the two offices in Australia and Singapore, and offers an exchange of technical skills, practices and knowledge across the two countries.
Previously, Aidan established and managed an engineering company which was part of a Public Listed Company in Asia for several years, where he was responsible for the financial and technical delivery of the business, until the business was sold to an Australian Company. Aidan then migrated to Australia and was later appointed as the Chief Engineer of an international engineering company, providing both management and technical services to clients from State to Local Government, Civil and Mining Contractors as well as Consultants.

Lee’s position as Laboratory Ops Manager for the Testing Division has been taken over by Dr Ethan Liu, a very technically experienced Laboratory/Geotech Engineer with more than 5 years’ experience in the industry. For the Karratha Office, David Adams and Jeremy King, who have worked with STATS for more than 10 years, are taking over the day-to-day operations.

Dr Liu has been working in a laboratory research industry since 2017 dealing with unique and new concrete and soils materials that are used to support the civil engineering industry. Ethan graduated with a Doctorate in Civil Engineering with hands-on research and field experience in concrete innovation, composite structural analysis, and durability enhancement from UWA in 2023. He has a proven ability to work in a team and apply technical standards (AS, ACI, ASTM, etc.) in real-world applications.

Lea is an experienced civil engineer with over 20 years in the fields of project management, project delivery, asset management and pavement design. He is proficient in the management and delivery of a wide range of civil infrastructure and maintenance projects; including road construction, asphalt resurfacing, intersection upgrades and drainage improvement works. Lea is also capable of analysing FWD data and Profilometer data.

Kevin has been involved in numerous projects in Western Australia and has completed projects ranging from Mines OPF, NPI facilities to Camps, Haul Roads and Runways. Kevin is also experienced in Buildings and Structures Inspection and Diagnostic Testing and Monitoring work as well as laboratory testing to both Australian and Main Roads Standards.

Sukumar has over 30 years of experience conducting geotechnical and geophysical investigations, including Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), seismic, CSWS and electrical resistivity surveys. He has extensive experience in geotechnical in-situ testing, including Plate Bearing Tests (PBT), Lightweight Deflectometer Tests (LWDT), Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP), Perth Sand Penetrometer (PSP), in-situ CBR testing, and the interpretation of geotechnical data.
His extensive technical expertise enables him to accurately analyse complex geotechnical data and present clear, practical interpretations to support project outcomes. Throughout his career, Sukumar has worked with both public and private sector organisations across Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines and Sudan, gaining valuable experience across a diverse range of industries and project environments. He is a strong communicator who is able to engage effectively with clients, stakeholders and project teams at all levels.
